La Commission a pour mission la promotion et la protection des droits de l’homme, ainsi que la prévention de la torture dans tous les lieux de privation de liberté.
A ce titre, elle peut demander à toute administration une étude ou un rapport sur une question qui relève de sa compétence et mener des études en matière de droits de l’homme au profit des administrations qui en font la demande.
