Les 21 et 22 novembre 2023, l’Association des Ombudsmans et Médiateurs de la Francophonie (AOMF), l’Institution du Médiateur du Royaume du Maroc et l’Association des Ombudsmans de la Méditerranée (AOM), ont organisé une formation commune sur le thème de la Protection des lanceurs d’alerte et la lutte contre la corruption à Rabat.
Cette session de formation avait par conséquent pour objectif de définir le rôle des lanceurs d’alerte dans le cadre de la lutte contre la corruption, d’apporter des éclaircissements quant aux lois qui encadrent leur protection et leur d’accompagnement, et d’échanger sur les bonnes pratiques entre institutions. Ce temps d’échange était primordial pour sensibiliser à l’importance de cette compétence et ainsi permettre aux participants de faire connaître ce mandat à leurs propres institutions.
La formation a réuni 35 participants provenant de 21 institutions différentes, et a permis un échange sur diverses thématiques en lien avec les méthodes de travail de chaque institution. En effet, la législation encadrant la définition et les mesures d’accompagnement diffère en fonction du pays et les participants sont repartis avec de nombreux conseils de leurs homologues qu’ils pourront désormais relayer au sein de leur propre institution afin de permettre une avancée globale sur l’état de protection des lanceurs d’alerte dans le monde.
