Sur instruction du Défenseur des droits de l’Homme, une visite inopinée a été effectuée à l’établissement pénitentiaire de Kosh du ministère de la Justice de la République d’Arménie.
Des entretiens privés avec la personne en grève de la faim, ainsi qu’avec d’autres personnes privées de liberté ont eu lieu. Ces dernières ont soulevé des questions liées aux problèmes de santé et aux soins médicaux.
Les représentants du Défenseur ont examiné le dossier médical sur l’état de santé du condamné en grève de la faim et lui ont fourni l’assistance juridique nécessaire en ce qui concerne les questions soulevées par ce dernier. Le condamné n’a pas présenté de plaintes concernant le travail médical ou psychologique en rapport avec la grève de la faim.
Lors de l’entretien avec les représentants du Défenseur, ce dernier a constaté qu’il s’était adressé à plusieurs organismes publics pendant sa grève de la faim mais n’avait reçu de réponse d’aucun d’entre eux.
Les questions enregistrées au cours de la visite seront résumées dans le cadre du mandat du Défenseur des droits de l’homme, et des lettres officielles seront adressées aux organes étatiques compétents.
